The DAL team is looking for an experienced, positive, chill-yet-organized associate family law lawyer. We are a group of hard-working, community-minded and meme-loving people who work together to provide the best possible solutions for their clients while never having to miss out on parent-teacher interview night (or the Bachelor finale… whatever we’re trying not to miss). We have offices in Nanaimo and Qualicum Beach, BC, but we often work from home. We have kids, dogs, hobbies, and interests!

The founders of DAL opened up shop in 2014 in pursuit of three goals: to provide high-quality legal representation to families on Vancouver Island, to create the positive and supportive work environment they’d wished for at past jobs, and to make work-life balance a reality (we’ve been working from home long before a global pandemic made it cool).

We achieve our work-life balance by having a paperless office, remote server, cloud-based client management software, and remote technology that allows us seamless access to each other and our offices. We recognize the demands of a young family, fur babies, or an iron-(wo)man training schedule… balancing lawyering and life isn’t easy. Our lawyers have found our structure and support allows them to both pursue their off-duty dreams and deliver top-notch legal work.

Our dream candidate is an enthusiastic team player with 2-5 years of family law experience. Start date is flexible. Remuneration is based on a fee-split and includes a health spending account and wellness incentive.
